Victoria got straight A's today.
She is growing and growing and growing.
She weighed in at 9.8 lbs. Very healthy weight for a two week old baby.
She has also stretched out. She was born 20 inches long and is now 22 3/4 inches!
Very soon she will be outgrowing her newborn onesies and other clothes. They are looking pretty tight already. We are pretty sure she is going through a growth spurt as she can't seem to get enough food! But having an appetite is better than not having one so we will take it.
Took wife in too for her check up on all the things they are monitoring. They were also going to remove the tape from her c-section but decided to leave on a while longer.
Victoria's hiccups continue as well as her tantrums when not fed within milliseconds.
The doctor recommended the pacifier to calm her down as we should no longer be feeding on demand given her hefty appetite and weight gain. So we have tried doing that and it definitely works.
The other lifesaver has been the white noise app. I've come to learn that Victoria's favorite are three. In this order:
1. vacuum cleaner noise
2. ocean sounds
3. womb sounds.
One thing we can't get enough of are her funky little sounds that she makes. She makes them at all hours. As if she were climbing a mountain or running a marathon.
I have also learned when she is really hungry and asking for food. She will either start head butting me with her face against my cheeks and try sucking on my chin. When that doesn't work, she full on puts her hand in her mouth followed by loud earthquake causing shreaking noises.
